Kaunto

Now on iOS & Android

Track what matters.

Four ways to log a meal. Pick whichever one is fastest right now — and one ring tells you what's left of the day.

iPhone and Android. English and Spanish.

The Kaunto sign-in screen: the wordmark, the tagline “Track what matters.”, and buttons to continue with Apple, Google or email.

The day view

One ring, one number

Your calorie goal, what you've eaten, and what you've burned, in a single figure you can read at arm's length. Protein, carbs and fats each get their own bar underneath.

There is no brand colour in Kaunto. Chrome is black, white and grey throughout, and colour appears in exactly two places — the ring and the macro bars — so the numbers are the only thing shouting.

Logging

Log a meal four ways

Search a food database, scan a barcode, photograph the plate, or pull in a recipe you already saved. When one route comes up short, the next one is a tap away — so a missing barcode never becomes a missing entry.

  • Food search
  • Barcode scan
  • Photo scan
  • Saved recipes
  • Manual entry

Recipes

Recipes that survive real cooking

Import a recipe from a link and fix what the parser got wrong. Set the cooked weight, and a portion's macros are finally right — the step most trackers skip and the one that makes the numbers wrong.

  • Import from a URL
  • Correct the parser
  • Cooked-weight yield
  • Log a portion

Health

Your workouts, already counted

Connect Apple Health or Health Connect and your steps, workouts and energy burned arrive on their own. It's optional, you can revoke it in your device settings, and Kaunto works without it.

  • Steps
  • Active energy
  • Workouts
  • Heart rate
  • Optional, revocable

Insights

See the shape of a month

Seven card types, each one switchable, reorderable and set to the range you care about. Then a calendar that shows every day you logged and every day you hit your goal.

  • 7d · 30d · 90d · 1y
  • Bar or line
  • Reorder by drag
  • Month calendar

Streaks

Don't break the chain

A streak counts the days you actually logged. Miss one and a freeze covers you — earned by keeping it up, not by paying attention at the right moment.

  • Consecutive days
  • Freezes on milestones
  • Streak-at-risk reminder

Privacy

Your data stays in Europe

Kaunto's backend runs in Belgium. Meal photos are analysed in memory and never written to disk or storage on our side.

Never for ads

Health data is never used for marketing or sold to data brokers.

Real deletion

Delete your account and your data goes with it.

What that doesn't mean: photo scan sends the image to a processor in the United States, and food searches reach USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts. Nothing here is end-to-end encrypted. The privacy policy says exactly what goes where.

Craft

Built for the dark

Every screen is drawn twice, in light and dark, and neither is an afterthought. This page follows the same rule — it is already showing you whichever one your system asked for.

  • Every tap target is at least 44 pt, verified by a test that walks all 30 screens.
  • 820 strings, no hardcoded text, English and Spanish both complete.
  • One Flutter codebase, so iOS and Android stay in step.

Questions

Frequently asked

What is Kaunto?

Kaunto is a macro tracker for iOS and Android. You set a calorie and macro goal once, then log what you eat — by searching a food database, scanning a barcode, photographing a meal, or picking a saved recipe — and the day’s ring tells you how much room is left.

How do I get Kaunto?

From the App Store on iPhone and iPad, or Google Play on Android. Both links are on this page, and /download sends you straight to the right one.

What does Kaunto cost?

The current price is shown on the App Store and Google Play listings before you install anything. Kaunto does not charge you inside the app without saying so first.

Does Kaunto work offline?

Yes. Entries save on the device and are marked pending while you are offline, with a banner to tell you so, then sync when the connection returns.

Where is my data stored?

Kaunto’s backend runs in Belgium (europe-west1). Meal photos are analysed in memory and are never written to disk or storage on our side. Photo analysis itself is performed by a processor in the United States — the full picture is in the privacy policy.

What does Kaunto do with Apple Health and Health Connect?

With your permission it reads steps, active and total energy burned, exercise time, distance, weight, height, workouts and heart rate, and writes back the workouts you log in Kaunto. Nothing else is written. The integration is optional, you can revoke it in your device settings at any time, and the app works without it.

What languages does Kaunto speak?

English and Spanish, switchable in the app, with every screen translated.

Is there a minimum age?

Yes, 16.

Does Kaunto give nutrition advice?

No. It sets no diet, recommends no meals, and never comments on your food choices. It counts, and it shows you the count.

Set your macros once. The ring does the rest.
